Lorraine Janier Dubry is a french cellist currently based in London. She graduated from the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and Mons in Belgium, and is furthering her professional development at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in England.
During her studies, Lorraine had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned artists such as David Cohen, Aleksandr Khramouchin, Ella Van Poucke, Troels Svane, Han Bin Yoon, Julian Arp, Roman and Milena Simovic, Sung-Won Yang, Pieter Wispelwey, Marie Hallynck, Uladzimir Sinkevitch, Tim Gill, Raphael Wallfisch, and Hayoung Choi. She also had the chance to be trained in artistic mediation by the Aix-en-Provence Festival, which led her to co-create the collective Fabulo.
These numerous experiences have provided her with the tools necessary to flourish artistically in her own way. Today, Lorraine is involved in multicultural projects and founded her company, Europe Cellists, in 2022. This company aims to organize musical events across Europe to make classical music accessible to all and to offer emerging artists the opportunity to meet beyond cultures and nationalities and to perform together in concerts.
Through her projects, Lorraine is working to reinvent how we perceive the world of classical music today.
